9.9.09

Daft Punk's fourth album is expected to be released in 2009. Some rumors have shown on the Electroma's Opening Night in Paris, that Daft Punk will start recording of the album after their Alive 2007 tour. Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo simply commented it with a "hushhhh". On May 28th 2008, Busy P, former manager of Daft Punk, in the interview for Australian music magazine, In The Mix, revealed that Daft Punk are currently recording new material, but it is not known, if and when the album will be released.

Speculation: The three prior albums were released four years apart and all in the month of March: Homework - March 25th 1997, Discovery - March 13th 2001 and Human after all - March 14th 2005. If the fourth album follows this pattern, then it may be expected to be released in March of 2009. However, some speculated a September 9th 2009 release as it would have fit with Daft Punk's regular use of the number (as in the song: Revolution 909. They have also claimed to be turned into Robots by the 909 virus). In October 2008, Daft Punk put an inactive track, called "The Daft Gang", onto their MySpace page, perhaps indicating that they are once again back in the recording studio.
